Give your living area a sense of space-age with shades of blue and grey offset against metallic paints on artist’s canvases. This look works best if you cluster canvas boards in a row, and then direct light so that it picks up the metallic effect. Easy to do – and looks extremely sophisticated.
Space age doesn’t have to be totally futuristic. Metallic shelves and streamlined units evoke a very contemporary, very urban look to this kitchen. Old shelves can be spruced up by painting them in a high-quality metallic paint.
Creating a sense of space-age in your living room can be done with the use of monochromatic colour schemes, and contrasing with chrome and glass. Here the magnificent black chair oozes a sense of outer-space serenity, with the amazing radiator in chrome adding an other-worldly touch.
