Inject a little colour into your life with poppy red walls softened with a simple running stitch design. Using a good quality acrylic based emulsion will guarantee good colour density which, in turn, ensures that paler stitchwork stands proud of bolder background colours.
If you like a little romance in the bedroom, look to the latest rich taffetas and silks adorned with stitchwork and set against plain painted walls in either a matt or sheen acrylic finish.
For those who prefer a more traditional approach, take a tip from the past with naive floral motifs. Set against chalky tones of off-white, dove grey and duck egg blue, for a more modern twist on a classic Arts and Crafts theme.
