A plain lilac wall becomes a feature in its own right when adorned with squares of shimmering silver paint. Paint freehand or mask off the area with tape for a more formal, crisp finish. Paint in radiators to match the scheme and opt for pale flooring such as deep pile carpeting or cream painted boards.
Plain painted walls in subtle shades of lavender create a soothing, calming environment in the bathroom. Existing wood bath panels, even tiles, can be painted to match whilst sparkling touches of chrome reflect light around the room along with a number of large mirrors. A cut glass chandelier completes the look.
Linens shimmer and shine, against matt walls. The introduction of a few embroidered details prevents the scheme from becoming too bland whilst less than perfect stripped floorboards are given a new lease of life with a few coats of crisp white paint.
